Jeongguk would get lonely on nights like these, nights in between tour dates when the members go off into their separate homes and relax while waiting for the next round of shows. He wasn’t used to being alone. Since the ripe age of fifteen, he had been surrounded by his bandmates and staff who took the role of his older brother despite already having one of his own. Who is Jeon Jeongguk? He was a singer- no, an idol. Outside of that? He has no fucking clue. Almost half of his life in the industry has given him the cursed luxury of not needing to form a sense of self. Why would he? People loved him regardless. His personality consisted of Jin’s humor, Hobi's energy, Yoongi's spunk, Taehyung's playfulness, Namjoon's wisdom, and well…could he ever really compare himself to Jimin? Jeongguk has access to almost everything he could ever possibly want at his fingertips. Park Jimin is the one thing in his life that felt untouchable. He liked that about him. Jimin was passion, drive, and something else he couldn't explain with words alone. With Jimin, Jeongguk didn't have to be anything; for some reason, only with him did he feel the closest to his true self.

“I can’t,” Jungkook whispered.
Or, for years Jungkook has only known his daily routine, the sometimes changing Caretakers, the needles, the tests, that is his normal. But it is all to keep him safe. The outside world is dangerous, you see, they tell him, the outside world would destroy him. Or he could be a danger to the outside world. And Jungkook believes them. Why wouldn't he? They keep him safe. That is until a new Caretaker arrives and makes him question everything he thought was true.

“I don’t know.” Jimin finally says, biting the inside of his cheeks.
Or, in which Jimin used to believe that nothing could come between him and Jeongguk. They were the perfect couple—loving, understanding, supportive—it was all so lovely, so easy. Until it wasn't.

Jimin stands, phone in hand. He looks down, the instagram account ‘@mnijungkook’ dimly lighting up his phone, and smiles. “I won’t work with anyone else.”
