Summary
When someone passes away in Mondstadt, the seven days of mourning are a customary sending-off for the deceased. Their family and loved ones keep their spirit company, grieve their loss, and celebrate their lives before delivering their soul into the hands of the anemo Archon and letting them go.
But Diluc hadn’t ever considered he would be overseeing his own brother’s funeral. As the seven days progress he finds it increasingly difficult to let go of Kaeya, bolstered by the memory of an ancient legend he overheard years before concerning the mourning period and the Statues of the Seven….

Summary
Diluc runs into Kaeya, delirious and severely injured by a rifthound in the woods of Wolvendom. Kaeya is in a pretty bad way and Diluc is unable to help much because of the corrupting nature of the injury. He’s going to have to wait and watch until the corrosion has run its course to tend to Kaeya or else neither of them will be strong enough to survive a night in the forest. But for Kaeya that might be too late.

Klee's sitting outside, clutching her backpack to herself, Dodoco hanging off of it, slightly wet and very much miserable. There are sniffing sounds coming from her and Kaeya can’t exactly tell if it’s from her crying, or her being cold from the terrible rain.
Either way, it makes his heart clench.
It’s an all too familiar sight, isn’t it?
Well, Kaeya would know, wouldn’t he? He knows firsthand what it feels like to see a parent leave, waiting hours for them to return only to be left with the numbness of being left behind. He knows the turmoil of fear and anger that goes on in a child’s head when they’re waiting on a parent who might never come.

Alice was supposed to come back by noon, today. However the sun is already setting and there are almost no signs of Alice. Klee refuses to come inside until Alice returns, despite the terrible storm outside. With an all-too-familiar situation, Kaeya decides to try and wait it out with her, if not convince her to come inside earlier. Even if it means revisiting some memories he would've preferred forgetting.Series

Albedo rushes up to her, easily picking her up and heading towards her room. “Hey! No, let me go! Mister Swan said Kaeya was hurt!” She protests, and almost kicks at Albedo’s chest before he puts her down swiftly in the middle of her room.
Albedo runs a hand through her hair, and she can feel it shaking. “Stay here. I’ll be back for you in a bit, yeah? Just gotta take care of some things. Can you do that for me?”
“Okay.” Obviously, she's not going to do that for him. Klee is now on a quest to one, find kaeya and see what happened to him, two, fix him up, somehow. That's what a little sister should do for her big brother.

Alternatively, Kaeya gets stabbed, Klee thinks she's a god, which is definitely Venti's fault, Albedo is stressed but put together, and Diluc is in desperate need of therapy. Klee takes it upon herself as a god to see to it that Kaeya heals, her big brothers stay safe (and in love), and Diluc gets the help he desperately needs with working things out with Kaeya.

He remembers their family stargazing every weekend in the summer because it was his favorite and day trips to the snow to teach Kaeya how to sled. He remembers the three of them baking terrible, tooth-rotting cakes because those were Diluc’s favorite, at three in the morning, because Kaeya had woken up from a nightmare.
And then he forces himself to stop remembering, because he’s not sure that their family will be the same now.

Kaeya examines the wound, moving his coat away from the blood, only to find his corset torn though and completely ruined. It’s bad enough to be painful, but not so bad he can’t make it to get healing.
Diluc appears beside him and crouches down to observe, his eyebrows all pinched together.
“Are you okay?” he asks with a grimace.
“It’s a flesh wound,” Kaeya returns cooly. He’s lucky it was the debris that hit him and not the fire. He shoots Diluc a glare he doesn’t seem to notice, not while he’s pulling Kaeya’s coat off his shoulders and tightly wrapping the cape around his torso. “You want to ruin my jacket as well?”
“Shut up,” Diluc says. Kaeya presses his hands behind his back to pick himself off the ground, but he’s immediately thwarted.
“What are you doing,” Kaeya squawks as Diluc scoops him up. He grabs Diluc’s shoulders to steady himself before pushing him away as best as he can without falling. There is a rough lurch of pain that does not deter his efforts. “Put me down.”While investigating ley line anomalies, Kaeya gets hurt and Diluc, moved by guilt, takes him back to the winery for healing.
