Summary
Zuko had never excelled at anything. Azula was a prodigy. Uncle always knew what to say. And Father... Father was strong, iron-like. But Zuko had only ever been good at surviving. Putting one foot in front of the other in a grim show of stubborn determination, gritting his teeth and bearing it. Survival was all he had ever been taught. He knew how to do it. So when he was kidnapped by the Southern Water Tribe, he expected to fight as he always had. He didn’t expect to be taught instead how to live.
In a warring land, the Water Tribe forgave the enemy in an act of defiance. For this, he was torn from them, and this time, his wounds won't heal so easily.
Forced back into nothing but survival, the last person Zuko expected to see was Hakoda's son. Hakoda was a promise of safety. The relentless blue of Sokka’s eyes was a promise of happiness. Zuko could have both if he just reached out his hands, but he found them clutching into fists. After all, he’d been burned one too many times.
But hey, at least between Hakoda and Sokka, Zuko could appreciate the family resemblance of pure, asinine stubbornness.

“It’s just never come up,” Sokka admitted.
Judging from the confused and irritated look Zuko was giving him, that was the wrong thing to say. Zuko started to massage his temples. Uh oh. He only did that when he was getting stressed.
“We’ve been together for two years and it’s ‘never come up’?!”
“It’s not like it’s a secret!” Sokka cried.

Sokka and Zuko are about to head back to Ember Island for the Gaang's annual vacation there (and Aang's 18th birthday), but Sokka realizes he's neglected to mention that he and Zuko have been dating for two years to Katara and Aang. But Katara and Aang are distracted by their own problems, and nothing Sokka does seems to make them understand that he and Zuko are actually dating. Zuko, meanwhile, wants to tell Sokka he loves him for the first time, but can't find an acceptable moment to say it. Shenanigans ensue.[CURRENTLY ON HIATUS DUE TO MY HEALTH ISSUES.]

Summary
"Someone's coming!" Toph sensed with her feet. "Quick! Everybody, hide!"
A black silhouette appeared from behind the cliff and walked through the temple, stopping in its tracks right in front of their hiding spot. It was a human of rather small frame, face and body hidden under several layers of black clothing. Only their eyes were visible, and they were sparkling like stars.
"Excuse me, have you seen Zuko around here?" they asked with a light and soft voice, obviously knowing that the teens were hiding behind that pillar.
"Zuko?!" Sokka's head popped out. "Don't tell me Zuko is here?!"
"Who are you?!" Katara said as she came out, threatening to use her water whip.
The silhouette removed their hood and the scarf in front of their mouth, revealing the face of a beautiful teenager with short white hair and a bright smile.
"I'm Zuko's boyfriend!"
