Summary
They check into a motel, somewhere on the outskirts of town where maybe Dean thinks they will go unnoticed.
Dean pretends he’s Cas’ mate, smiles at the clerk and lies so easily while he pays for two rooms, but there’s only one bed in there, and that is where Dean commands that he go.
Cas does not shower. Cas slips under the covers and curls up, because if he showers, he won’t smell like he’s Dean’s, and if that happens, every alpha nearby will be lured in.
Every alpha except for one.

Summary
Associating with angels had consequences, Bobby had explained to him. “They ain’t the God-abiding, harp-toting little healers that you’d expect, Dean. They’re…different. They…”
They claim things, Bobby had said, with a shiver. People. They claimed humans and stole them from the camp and whatever happened to them afterwards, no one knew.
After Castiel dies, the portal to the other world opens and obliterates the universe that Sam and Dean know. Bobby takes them in, teaches them how to survive in a world with new rules and new consequences, a world where humans live in camps enclosed by high walls to keep angels out, where angels will do anything and everything to seduce and lure humans away. Why and to where beyond the wall, no one knows.
While Sam struggles to find a way home, a grieving Dean loses all hope.
But then one night, while Dean's guarding the wall, in the middle of a snowy blizzard and under the cover of darkness, an angel with beautiful black wings and a familiar face appears.
His name is Castiel.
And he asks Dean to go with him.

Mrs. Christian, owner of Lebanon's only grocery store, had once been a perfectly respectable woman. But now here she was, completely invisible, being forced to witness Dean Winchester's love lessons, all in an effort to teach Castiel how to flirt and bed a woman.
“Thank you, Dean,” Castiel said and he looked as thankless as one could be. “For our fake date yesterday. I think I'm ready now. To find a woman...like you want me to.”
"I want you to be happy, Cas," Dean said. "You're human now. Hunting isn't a life."
But oh, how utterly strained and painful his smile looked! And then, Mrs. Christian had an epiphany and her body shuddered with homophobic shock. How had she not seen it before? How had she not noticed how thin their fake-dating pretence was? This godless man, Dean Winchester, was an authentic homosexual, wasn’t he?! He hadn't been pretending!
She lost consciousness at once.

Summary
Dean lasts three months.
Dean does what Sam tells him, keeps his distance, lets Cas pass him again and again, but Dean’s never been good at being patient, because after weeks and weeks of Dean’s longing growing and growing, all it takes is for Cas to meet his eyes one time and Dean snaps.
Cas is too slow to escape him.
Dean pins him up against the door of his bedroom before Cas can even turn the knob.
For a long time, Dean can’t get his tongue to work. For a long time, they sway against the door, and when Dean knows that he’ll never be able to get a word out, at least not without turning into a blubbering mess, he just closes his eyes and leans his forehead against Cas’ and Cas inhales then, sharp and surprised.
“Dean,” Cas says, softly, gently, and Dean can feel the tears sliding down his cheeks.
a coda to 15.18, 15.19 and 15.20 where Dean and Cas reunite and there's a very happy ending because I'm a sappy person and because happiness is what they deserve

Summary
Cas has spent an eternity studying human behaviour but somehow, Dean completely escapes him.
They have never kissed, though based on all of the signs, Cas is certain that it is something that Dean has always desired. They have never held hands—only if urgency necessitates it. They have not done anything but everything, have only breathed want in every word without saying it outright, have only concealed love deep in their chests, curled tight, unyielding even when prodded, though maybe wisps of it have escaped at a moment of weakness.
They have done nothing, so Cas doesn’t understand why Dean suddenly wraps an arm around his waist and slots their bodies together, as if they’ve always been doing this, as if the pretence of sharing one blanket isn’t the only reason to be so near.
