Jungkook had mentioned wanting to adopt a dog—had talked about it almost daily. How fun it'd be to take the dog on his morning jogs, to have someone to talk with when Namjoon was at work, to have a buddy around when Namjoon would have to go on work trips.
And from the first moment Jungkook mentioned it, Namjoon, being Namjoon, was already doing extensive research on the type of dog that would fit their little family. He understands how lonely it can get at home when he can't be around, or as Jungkook works on his latest project. A little company might not be a bad idea.
Then a few days ago, while looking around the third animal shelter on his list, he stopped in his tracks as he came across a perfectly cute chocolate doberman with large round eyes so reminiscent of Jungkook’s. He knew it was meant to be.
This was their puppy.

‘Sometimes, I feel—’ Jungkook swallows, gathering courage. ‘I feel like I’m being absorbed. When you look at me.’
It is quiet—in that room, in that building, in Busan, on earth, in the universe. Until it’s not.
‘I…’ comes Yoongi’s answer, ‘I can't help but always see you.’
Jungkook can feel Yoongi’s eyes roam over his face, confirming what his lips just said. ‘Do you?’ He shifts even closer, gearing up to close the last distance. ‘Do you, hyung?’
His hand that had remained still against Yoongi’s arm begins to move of its own accord, thumb grazing over gooseflesh and skin much, much softer than anticipated. ‘Do you really see me?’

His voice has this odd timbre, dark and a little low, and he’s good-naturedly ribbing Jimin with this bright, rectangular smile, strands of blue hair in his eyes, and suddenly Jungkook feels dizzy. He redirects his gaze to his bag, tries to remember what he was even pretending to search for.
Jungkook really isn’t looking for a crush. First of all because he tends to fall too hard, and he’s trying not to be that way anymore. And second of all because he needs to focus on this new program—to find his bearings, prove that he belongs. He doesn’t need any distractions. So this thing, where this guy he doesn’t know is ruffling Jimin’s hair and making Jungkook feel fluttery—it’s not ideal.

Inhaling sharply, Yoongi tried to think of a plan. There was a large, probable wolf on his porch, that was injured, and more than likely dying if he didn’t do something.
Oh, there was also his partial blindness, the storm, and the fact it is in the middle of the night in the middle of bum-fuck nowhere.
