Summary
Sam and Castiel tried to be something — secretly. They really did. But some loves are mismatched from the start. When it ends, they stay friends, and Sam eventually finds a nice girl, Jess.
Dean doesn’t know what to do with any of it — the jealousy, or the fact that his brother had been secretly dating his best friend. He doesn’t know how to deal with Sam’s quiet avoidance, or the way something in his chest twists every time Cas looks at him with those too-blue, too-knowing eyes.
So, Dean pushes it all down.
This is a slow burn about Castiel and Dean— a VERY slow burn.

Also I am not an expert on the Vatican or medical-type things, so please accept my apologies in advance for all the wild inaccuracies I am sure you are about to encounter. If everyone could just assume this is the Magical Made-Up Vatican, you know, like the religious institution version of those tour buses that drive themselves and don't carry anyone but the band, that would be awesome.

Connor had been told that deviancy came with free choice. That he’d be able to chose what to do with his life; but also with whom. On paper, anyway. I had taken Connor and Hank months to finally get together (the Lieutenant somehow seemed determined to let Connor find someone else, someone more “suitable” when Connor had only ever wanted Hank) and now he wanted… well. More.
But Hank was determined to ignore each and every attempt of intimacy Connor initiated. Which was a problem, because Connor was horny.
