Summary
Scott Hunter died tragically in March 2017. The Admirals did not win the Cup. He did not kiss Kip at center ice. There were no out gay players in the MLH for a while longer. Ilya did not go to the Cottage, and decided that it was in both their interests that they end things.
New Years Eve 2021 finds Shane and Ilya surprised at the same New York party--Shane with his boyfriend, Kip Grady, and Ilya with his wife, Natasha. Except being in the same room is enough for the gravitational pull between them to reignite--ripping open a wound both of them had spent years trying to close. But the body remembers.
