Yuichiro is thankful, even as he lies on the cold floor with his own breaths feels like pulling jagged glass into his chest but he barely feels it… all that mattered, the only anchor left in the fading expanse of his mind, was the ragged sound of Muichiro’s breathing nearby.
His twin was still alive.
And even as his eyelids grew impossibly heavy he offered a silent, desperate prayer with relief washing over him simply because it was him who seemed to be dying and not his brother.
He closed his eyes entirely certain that the end had come.
So when his eyelids fluttered back open, all he could think about was how could he possibly still be breathing?
