This is my take, it's messy, emotional, and a little painful.Natasha is traumatised and drowning in guilt from the Red Room. Wanda’s grieving Pietro and trying to survive all the trauma Hydra left behind. They’re both a bit of a wreck, honestly, and their relationship? Complicated as hell.
There’s love, trauma, healing (sometimes), breakdowns (a lot), and moments that’ll punch you right in the heart. But also soft stuff, fluff, and found family.
You’ll see a bunch of fan favourite characters too, some even get their own chapters and arcs. And yes, the ships are shipping because why wouldn't they be.

Summary
Natasha escaped from the Red Room and is living in NY, taking on contracts as an assassin or a body guard. While on a mission, she encounters another black widow who behaves oddly. Natasha learns that the widow is chemically subjected, and what’s worse, this new method of controlling the girls is a consequence of her escape from the Red Room.
She vows revenge, but even she can’t take on the Red Room all by herself.
She decides to get help from SHIELD, but getting a face-to-face with a top ranking agent of a highly secret organization is no cakewalk, and requires time and effort. When opportunity finally presents itself, Natasha doesn’t hesitate to act. And if she accidentally kidnapped the wrong agent? Maybe it’s not so unfortunate after all.

Maria fell to her knees the moment she was released, her injured body unable to support her weight anymore. Her palms were flat against the floor, and she kept looking down, waiting for the pain to subside.

Natasha wasn't created to be gentle. The title of Black Widow belonged only to the strong and ruthless. She had red in her ledger, and she was washing it out, one drop at a time. She wasn't ignorant; she knew she would never absolve herself of her past sins, nor could she expect anyone to be able to look entirely past her history and see who she really was underneath. Perhaps she had never really been anyone but a killer to begin with.
Enter Kendra Hickman, an ex-SHIELD agent that broke past her barriers with nothing but a kind smile on her face. Her eyes were always free of judgment, fear, or blame, and maybe it had been too long since Natasha had seen that acceptance in anyone because, against her better judgment, the assassin finds herself falling.
