Summary
After all the events, Jack Nelson is forced to come back to IronBark 6 years later, looking for distraction and money, after his father passes and his sister blocks him, blaming him for never being there.
He barley changed, same as the forest. Life there kept going but it still stayed the same. Same people, same duties, same routine. And still standing lookout tower, standing high above the treetops, in the middle of the forest, with radio in it connecting Jack to the only person close to him - Connor.
Now he has to rebuild his life, alone in the world.
For now.

Summary
Three months after the events at the Opera, Christine and Raoul have fled Paris, not to escape a ghost but to avoid slanderous Parisian papers and because Christine cannot shake her dark memories and grief. The doctors believe it is hysteria and melancholia, which Raoul thinks will dissipate on the sunny island of Maderia. However, as Christine struggles with a lifelong inner turmoil, this new adventure proves itself to be unsafe.

In this, Christine is a believer that she can create a world with angels, one which can help her evade the depression that has plagued her. Raoul is realizing that wanting a life the hero in an adventure story is very different in reality than his affluent upbringing would have led him to believe. When they are caught in a criminal con, their rescue results in becoming stranded in a remote, wilderness place among friends, enemies, and strangers. Lots of flashbacks to the events at the Opera, Persia, and everyone's backstories, especially Erik and Daroga. It is eventual E/C but slow. First story. -
