When John wakes in a moment that feels both right and wrong, the edges of memory blur — love, loss, and time folding into one another. What follows isn’t about solving a mystery, but refinding safety in the aftermath of pain. Summary
When Merlin’s secret is revealed in the most brutal way, the world he has built around Arthur collapses. Branded a sorcerer and condemned, he should have died at the pyre. But death never comes. Instead, a darker truth emerges — Merlin cannot die. Immortality is his curse.
Imprisoned, torn between fear and duty, Merlin faces a kingdom that sees him as both weapon and monster. Arthur must confront not only his servant’s betrayal, but the bond between them — a bond tested by lies, destiny, and a love neither of them fully understands.
