Viktor scoffed, “Of course.” He’d had half a nutrients bar left over from the day before, which would usually be plenty for any undercity kid, but Viktor had gotten used to the unlimited meals that came with being a co-creator of Hextech and the reminder of food had gotten his stomach rumbling. Guilt itched in his throat at the thought but was soon interrupted as a conspicuously loud gurgle brought his attention to the sharp discomfort in his stomach as he, for the first time since long before Jayce had brought it up, recognised the disagreeable sensation as hunger.

After the explosive events at his commune, Viktor is captured and taken prisoner by Noxus. Revived by Apex Shimmer, subjugated to experimentation and torture, Viktor is used to develop their weapons via his link to the arcane.
Jayce finds out but is faced with a choice: to finish what he started or to find a new recourse. No matter what he chooses, Viktor is always at the center of it all.
