Summary

Jayce comes back from the doomed universe to confront Viktor and stop him before it's too late and he destroys everything in their own universe as well. But at the last moment, the Man of Progress finds himself being unable to fire at Viktor with his weapon, not when he greets Jayce with a smile which is nothing but angelic.
So Jayce gives up on the world and it's future to join Viktor in his Commune.

Viktor’s mind gets controlled by the arcane but instead of pushing him into turning everyone into machines, it’s telling him that all he needs to finally feel completed is to marry Jayce (it ain’t wrong tho). He still leaves the lab after waking up but that’s because he’s still confused about everything and doesn’t understand yet what the arcane wants from him. Everything that happens after that (except Viktor becoming a cult leader) up until the point when Jayce comes back from the apocalyptic future, happens.
