Like he hadn’t counted the nights – hadn’t woken each of the 44 of them since Louis had come to him like his ribcage had been prized open, his heart searching for the rhythm of his, as if it had suddenly forgotten how to beat on its own). Lestat, of course, had been perfectly content with his living situation – he may not have liked the mold, but personally he rather enjoyed the earthy smell it brought with it. It offered a certain je ne sais quoi to his current state of being, non? – but Louis had had other ideas.

She's dragged out her miserable existence to listen to a half-assed, insanely cliche goodbye 76 years later, and now she's turning to dust, again.Her legs are dissolving along with her arms, if she has to guess she would say that her head has too. Maybe this is just how she's bound to return to hell everytime, Claudia doesn't know, this is her first time being summoned out of it.
She blinks, then blinks again after looking at her arm. The ash is not dissolving, it's regrouping, reattaching and becoming solid. Second by second, as if time is going backwards, the ashes become her arm.

That’s why you an’ me ain’t never gonna work.” Louis looked into Lestat’s face, watched the crimson tears finally slipping down his face. “That’s why you’re always gonna be alone.” Louis turned his back on him, and Lestat called out to him, his pleas falling on deaf ears. He had no choice but to watch Louis jump from the opening window, down into the chaos, storming off down the street.
