Summary
After all, poor Lestat, vomiting his guts up and nodding off sitting down. Poor Lestat, who can’t seem to keep the blood in his system with how often he needs to use the restroom. Poor Lestat, who can’t stomach his usual victims and has to go looking for something to satisfy the urge. Poor Lestat, who has no idea what’s going on.
Poor Lestat. Poor sad, broken Lestat. How could they possibly stay angry at him, when he’s suffering and he has no idea why? That would just be cruel.
And this would make them angry, because they believe him to be a being with enough power to make himself suffer to earn their love. They think him pathetic enough.
He doesn’t even realise he’s crying until the blood drops land on the toe of his shoe.
He can keep it to himself for now. It’s just about him. It’s his business.
If things change or worsen, he’ll tell them.
He swears.
____
Lestat's body is changing for the first time since the day he died, and he has no idea why. All he knows is that until he can learn more, he cannot tell Louis and Claudia, not wanting to rock the boat after just being welcomed home after six years seperated. This goes wrong. Arthur asks Merlin to learn magic to see if it can be trusted in defeating Morgana.
"We want to ask someone to learn magic to see if it can be used without corrupting the soul of the person who uses it. Lancelot suggested you be the person we ask."
Merlin's lips parted a fraction, "He did?"
"Indeed. Something about your heart being pure." Arthur brushed the compliment off with a wave of his hand and straightened in his seat, "I know you're scared of magic so you don’t have to do this if you don’t want to but-"
"I'll do it."Now complete with added prologue and epilogue!

Louis wasn't sure what possessed him that night except that right now Lestat was exactly as Louis preferred him. Drink in hand, a dreamy expression on his face, and eyes for nothing but the band. The time would never be more perfect for a bit of bold experimentation.
