“Okay,” Rumi began, standing up and stepping closer. “So you don’t want to spar. Do you want to play instead? Me and Zo can help you work off some energy and you won’t have to be in control. We can do it for you.”
Now that was an interesting proposal. Mira was no longer embarrassed to admit that she loved it when her girls turned her brain off, let her be theirs without any need to be strong or tough. Her resolve was wavering, but she made one final protest, flushing as she spoke. “It would help, but I’m not really sure that I can… y’know, let go today.”
“Don’t worry, baby. You know we can handle you being bratty if that’s what you need,” Zoey purred from her seat on the bed, sending a shiver through Mira’s body.

Mira's visit with her family doesn't go well. At first she tries dealing with her anger like she always has, but it doesn't work. Rumi and Zoey have an alternative idea to help her blow off some steam and remember how important she is to them.

Mira flinched under the intensity of Zoey’s gaze, guilt pooling in her stomach, "We thought we were protecting ourselves..."
Zoey's hands shook as she ran them through her hair.
“P- protecting ourselves?" She huffed out a laugh, "Baby, have you seen her? Look at what we did! She's alone and it's because of us!"
A heavy silence fell. Zoey's voice dropped, raw and trembling.
"I- I can't... I haven’t felt her in so long, Mir. Neither have you. And it’s been like that for weeks. Weeks. Or have you just gotten used to her not being there anymore?"
Mira froze.
“Zoey… Jagiya, I-” Her voice cracked, small and desperate.
She was interrupted, tears spilling freely from Zoey’s eyes, words scrambling together in hiccups.
“I don’t know how to fix it because you two always end up fighting each other and leaving me alone… and that emptiness just keeps getting more obvious.”
(OR - a post-canon story of the 3 month hiatus with HUNTR/X, taking a realistic approach on how rumi's secret unveiled by jinu affected the trio after gwi-ma's defeat.)

Mira’s thumb stilled on the screen. She looked up, slow. “…What?”
Zoey’s hands twisted in her lap. “Like—not open relationships. Just… not just one person. Have you ever thought about being with more than one person and it still being okay?”
She wasn’t looking at Mira. Her voice was tight, like it hurt to speak. Mira watched her with a furrowed brow, still quiet.
“I feel so guilty all the time. Because I love you, Mira. I love you, and this doesn’t change that, but I see her and I want to make her smile and I want her to hold my hand and I think she’s beautiful and weird and sweet and I—”
She finally looked up, tears shining in her eyes.
“I think I ruined us. And I’m so sorry.”
Mira just stared at her. Wide-eyed. Silent.
Zoey’s heart dropped. “Say something.”
Mira exhaled like she’d been holding her breath for a month.
Then she visibly deflated—shoulders dropping, head tilting back against the wall—and let out a quiet, choked laugh.

When Mahou Shoujo Shiny Chariot (the greatest magical girl anime to ever exist, obviously), was cancelled after four seasons, young Atsuko Kagari wasn't going to take that lying down. If Shiny Studios weren't gonna continue the story, then it was up to her to do it, through the magic of fan fiction!
Unfortunately, Akko is not very good at writing fanfic. Even more unfortunately, this fact was eventually noticed by LadyBeatrice, the most popular author in the entire Shiny Chariot fandom. Although if you ask Akko, her fics kinda suck anyway. Thus begins a mighty flamewar and a rivalry for the ages, which will definitely not develop into anything more. After all, what are the chances that they just happen to be going to the same university?
