In this version of the story, the ritual will have more life to itself, and whilst weak at the start of the story, will have limited power to do what it is designed for. Now whilst not as powerful as it should be, one at Hogwarts and gaining power, it’ll use its limit power to change Harry’s life for the better. But at the same time, it would be gaining power to fully free itself from Dumbledore binds.
