Summary
Derek Hutchins survived the impossible. Now he has to survive something harder: being taken care of.
Avery is very good at this. Derek is very bad at accepting it. They are both, slowly, figuring it out.
A collection of soft moments set after the end of everything, grocery runs and bad Skywars games and 2am conversations and learning, little by little, what it means to just exist without the weight of the universe pressing down.
Whatever you do at the crossroads, keep going forward.

"This isn't a date," he protested, frowning.
"We're dressed as newlyweds, walking arm in arm through a wedding festival. If this isn't a date, I don't know what is."
