Summary
There weren’t many people who would’ve said that it was easy to believe in such a story. They might think of it as a dream, nothing more than an unclear idea made up by a sleeping mind. But Yusuf knew that they were wrong, so terribly wrong, so beautifully naive.
This people would think of their dreams as a faster world, a way to practice the worst case scenario, a method to make them fly. Just a sort of game, nothing more than some hours in between important plans. Sometimes Yusuf would’ve loved to have the same lack of knowledge, just enjoying sleep as a time to rest, but usually he appreciated the truth. Even if this life was dangerous at some points, he could use it to help others when they had lost hope.

Summary
Robert knew that it would take Eames some more lines to get to the point, especially when he was that beautifully humble again. Eames was familiar with creativity without a doubt, but poet, seriously? The wording was good for creasing the reader up, he had to admit that.
This letter Robert was holding in his hands wasn’t like a job that made Eames plan every word, no sign of efficiency and a sort of perfection Eames might not even intend to show. This was a consequence of too many weeks without seeing each other – there still were some rare jobs that were a good opportunity for Eames - only some calls in between to be able to pretend that they were in each other’s arms.

Crazy things had happened, but Barney could still remember every single word.
There weren’t many things he liked to think of that belonged to that part of his life, but these did. The words had kept him alive, they were the only thing worth remembering. Better than the padded cell, better than the darkness, better than the cries he didn’t want to hear anymore, even if they were still stuck in his head, coming out at night when he didn’t need them at all. Sleep was important, he didn’t want to miss out on it because of something like this. He didn’t need this voices anymore, he had a future now. Tommy had found a job for him and he was back where he belonged.

Summary
There was no-one in between romantic Alfie and horrible-jokes-Alfie, really. Most people didn’t even know about the first kind, it was something rather exclusive, but they could definitely confirm that his jokes were horrible. Didn’t even need to see this text to know it. Alfie loved to show off a little bit, being this sometimes serious yet hilarious man he was.
Tommy tried not to grin too broadly. It was still a family meeting, after all, they didn’t need to know too much about his love life. Alfie wasn’t a secret anymore, that wasn’t the problem, but what would they say if they knew about this sort of messages? Suspecting and knowing were two different things, have always been. He could imagine it, all this weird looks they might try to hide on top of the comments he would hear. Only jokes, nothing mean, but he was fully aware of what they all thought. Alfie wasn’t quite the person others usually trusted. Wouldn’t do anything serious in a relationship, but who knew if he wouldn’t fuck it up by accident?

“Shit, he can have them.” Ariadne pulls the curtain back further. “Are those lips real?”
“Stop looking at him,” Arthur hisses.
