Eggman doesn't have any real ones. All of them are fabricated from metal and wire.That's the one of biggest differences between the two enemies.
But where Eggman always has his robots to fall back on at the end of the day, Sonic has learned to always catch himself.

None of this made sense. His parents were being nice to him! He'd almost forgotten what that felt like. It was just a shame it had taken him getting a concussion to get this far - it wasn't like they happened often. But... there were other ways he could get hurt, right? This would stop eventually, when he was completely better, but if he got hurt again they’d be concerned, wouldn’t they?

This was the last straw. There was no way he could stay here after this. So he decided to run away. Go to the house of the only adult who's ever cared about him.
