It’s been hours and Rebecca is still thinking about Ted saying “our run-ins” when commenting on Rupert’s unexpected and highly unwanted visits. It’s crazy to her that Ted’s simple allusion to a them, his minute insinuation that they exist in partnership, has thrown her into such a tizzy.
It’s near two in the morning. He should be sleeping peacefully, content with the fact that the team has managed to defeat the odds and re-emerge as victors destined for the Premier League. But all Ted has been able to think about in the hours since the match is her. And Sam Obisanya.
