He was fully prepared to mourn the man who should've been there by his side until the end, but when he enters his apartment, he sees Luis standing there, alarmed and confused, but above all else, alive.

Carefully, slowly, Leon reached through the bars, taking the metal can that was offered. His fingertips brushed against thick gloved fingers as he withdrew. His mouth pooled with saliva.
His captor turned to ascend the staircase, pausing, as if considering for a moment. Considering what? Leon couldn't tear his eyes from the silhouette.
"I'm Chris." The man said before he left, "And you're gonna be here a while, Leon Kennedy."

With Leon compromised and Luis’s knowledge too valuable to lose, they’ve been shoved off, buried in a cabin somewhere, partially by sway of an especially thankful and powerful parent, assigned the very loose task to serve on standby: one to study bioweapon outbreaks and the other to serve detail should either need ever arrive. But the problem is, nestled in that little cabin tucked in the mountains, is that the need has yet arrive. A Leon/Luis domestic slow burn.
