Summary
Karkat Vantas is an artist with wicked art block. Then, he finds someone online that he absolutely despises. And much to his dismay, he’s been starting to feel a spark for his craft that he hasn’t felt in a long time.
Dave Strider is a YouTuber/Barista who does reckless things (that are somewhat calculated risks) and posts them online for fun. One day, he gets a hate comment from an artist who he immediately feels a need to befriend. He thinks he might be in love.
I’d like to issue a disclaimer ahead of time that a lot of plot threads don’t really get resolved in the ending. I am aware of it, and I know it’s evil. The original short story I reworked for this was very linear and to put a romantic plot in it I had to switch the flow. Thank you.
Honestly, halfway through I forgot the premise of this story (whoops) so if it feels like the idea deviated around chapter 5 or whenever, that’s why. I’m probably gonna rewrite this one day. I would delete this, but a lot of people seemed to enjoy it. Feel free to leave criticism (doesn't have to be constructive), as I understand what I could have done better and I don't mind honest reviews.
