Kon gave a long-suffering sigh. He raised his fists as another robot approached, levelling some sort of ray gun at them (God, did they come out of a middle school apocalypse novel?).
His fist wound back, but just as he was about to punch the android to smithereens, it clicked the trigger.
Kon’s eyes widened as red light seemed to come out in slow motion. He barely had time to hear Tim yell, “Duck!” before he was blasted off of his feet, careening into the curb.

Reo backs away a step, just enough to look dramatic about it. “Stalking? Don’t flatter yourself. I was bored. You’re new. And interesting. And a little stupid, which I find very charming.”
Nagi blinks again. The insult doesn’t even properly sink in with Nagi’s current level of bewilderment.
By the time he finds words again, Reo is already half-turned toward the door, voice floating back over his shoulder, sweet like poison: “See you around, puppy. Try not to lose your toys next time.”

“I’m so happy you came to visit me, little one. I missed you so much.” Distracted by Martin being so sweet and cute, Pete didn’t notice that Way had slowed down and leaned in close to him until his lover stopped completely and Pete could feel sudden upset radiating off of him. “Angel?”
Yanking down his face mask, Way demanded, “Why is someone’s scent all over you?”
There was no masking the scents coming off of him, not to another Enigma. Pete faltered. “Baby-”
