Summary
When Kaveh announces that he’ll need to temporarily stop taking suppressants, Alhaitham assumes that he must be an omega. After all, that’s the only logical reason that Kaveh would have pretended to be a beta for all this time. It’s the only logical reason that Kaveh would ask Alhaitham, an alpha, to leave the house for two weeks.
Except Alhaitham has made a rare miscalculation—and helping Kaveh will be much more difficult than Alhaitham expected, when his own instincts keep pulling him in two different directions.
“To clarify,” Alhaitham says, “you’re saying you’ll feel safer if I’m not here. Do I have that correct?”
“That—that’s not exactly what I said.”
“You said that you don’t know if it’s safe. That implies a degree of uncertainty, which means that you’ll feel less uncertain—and therefore safer—if I’m not around.” When Kaveh doesn’t respond, Alhaitham adds, “I’m just making sure I understand the situation correctly.”
“To be honest,” Kaveh says, “I don’t think you understand the situation at all.”

Then, he appears in front of Irminsul and Lesser Lord Kusanali stands in front of him, "This must be a lot for you, becoming an Archon” She looks at him with guilty eyes, “To be honest, I was unsure about doing this but I decided to stand with my resolve.”
Or
Nahida dies and chooses Kaveh as the next Dendro Archon but following her death Kaveh immediately gets thrown into her work and on top of that needs to uncover the discrepancies surrounding her death with Wanderer as his assistant.

Really good writing and all the characters actually felt really accurate to how they really are. Long story though that goes ever single direction you could possibly imagine
(The story with psychic link, baby sam, equivalent of grace sex pollen with a side of dubious consent, and Dean's internalized homophobia) Hard to read at some points but the writing is absolutely stellar, like so creative and the composition is actually beautiful. -

The guy had absolutely no reference on what was appropriate physical contact between two dudes sharing a bed in the... normal, completely unsexy, no-funny-business, way.
