“I’m home.”
Sinclair whimpered like a broken child, hiccuping softly. He couldn’t believe this was real. It should have been impossible. It should have been impossible.
It was a miracle. And yet... It felt real.
With only their tears mingling together, with only their breaths combining into one... This was reality. It was real. And he will never, ever let go. Not anymore.
“I-I love you.”
The three words he had once thought he could never say to his face gently slipped out of Sinclair’s mouth, as a soft pair of lips placed itself on his own.
“I love you too...”
Was the only answer he got.
And it finally felt like... Things were going to be okay. That it will be alright now. Because finally they were here. Together.
A reunion of souls separated too long by darkness and despair.

Sinclair and Demian, through roads of recovery, throught the years, with all the smiles, tears, laughter, and pain. A happy ending they deserve.

Leo has had many places he's called home and knows of all the ways home can be ruined.He knows how tentatively one can truly call a place home, how quickly someone can come by and force you on, he knows what it's like to have dirt and trash piled so high over your head if you move too quickly it might fall down and crush you, to have bugs crawl their way into everything you own and mold spread over the walls, how one person can turn what should be safe into a living nightmare. He knows what it is like to have your safety taken from you. Burned away leaving nothing but smoke and ash. He knows the smell of smoke as it fills the room around him. Knows the heat of fire as it licks at his skin, though it does not burn him.
He knows it's his fault. Because the fire is always his fault.
He tries to stop it, but the wooden floors catch as quickly as if they were doused in gasoline, fire roaring up from anything he touches, even as he wills it to stop and his fingers to cool. He needs to leave.
