Steven does everything in his power to help—they go to therapy, attend evening classes, all the while looking for a job and trying to reconnect with Layla—but it seems fruitless as Marc catches sight of a vigilante on the loose in London, firmly believing they are up against Khonshu’s next Avatar. They decide to investigate further, and in the blink of an eye they find themselves in an auction held in Paris, trying to obtain an ankh cross. The relic seems to be much more than the symbol of life—it is also the bringer of demons of the Egyptian underworld and of the past that should’ve stayed buried.
