    Summary

It turned out that finding a time to talk to Lucy—when Lockwood wasn’t concerned about making her cry again, she wasn’t annoyed with him, they weren’t surrounded by other people, in the middle of a dangerous situation, or completely exhausted—was much more difficult than he anticipated.

    -----

Lockwood has a plan for everything, but lately plans have been failing him. While Lucy's back at Lockwood & Co., everything he wants is somehow both so close and so far away.

Or: five times Lockwood tried to talk to Lucy about their relationship and one time he actually succeeded.
