Summary
It turned out that finding a time to talk to Lucy—when Lockwood wasn’t concerned about making her cry again, she wasn’t annoyed with him, they weren’t surrounded by other people, in the middle of a dangerous situation, or completely exhausted—was much more difficult than he anticipated.
-----
Lockwood has a plan for everything, but lately plans have been failing him. While Lucy's back at Lockwood & Co., everything he wants is somehow both so close and so far away.
Or: five times Lockwood tried to talk to Lucy about their relationship and one time he actually succeeded.

Summary
The pre-case late lunch had been subdued, but lately that was the rule at 35 Portland Row, not the exception. Holly had reheated some of George’s eggplant curry for them. As lunch was served, they all focused on different tasks, not interested in maintaining a conversation. George read, Lockwood wrote down notes on the Thinking Cloth, and Holly reviewed their case book. None of them even glanced at the empty seat to George’s left.

First Ao3 fic!!!
Spoilers for the books and the show. It will feature spoilers from The Hollow Boy and The Creeping Shadow.
When I read TCS, I was bummed Stroud didn't write a scene where Lockwood and Lucy talk at the cafe. I haven't finished the whole book yet but had to write my own imagining of the scene. I am so excited to read the rest of the books, I am so obsessed with this series.

Summary
A shuffle of feet. Lockwood’s standing right behind her. She can feel the warmth of him shiver all along her back, the nape of her neck.
She’s about to turn to face him when suddenly that warmth connects: Lockwood’s arms fold carefully around her, his body draping overtop of hers like he suddenly can’t stand. Lucy stiffens. His chin touches the side of her head, then his jaw, his mouth, as he curls in over her back, tucks his head down into her shoulder. Their cheeks press together. Something warm and heavy settles on the top of her head, and she realizes he’s pulled the blanket up over both of their heads like a shelter.
Like a cape.
“Sorry, Lucy,” he whispers in her ear. “Just bear it for a second. Please.”

what if the reason Lockwood got angry in the cafe scene was because Lucy wouldn’t, at the very least, keep her door key?

It wasn’t supposed to be like this, you think. And then, He’s all I have left.
So you go to him. You hold him, and he holds you—the little six-year-old who shouldn’t have to bear this. Who should be in his mother’s arms, who should be tussling in the backyard with his father.
As he cries, full of understanding, so wise for such a small person, your resolve hardens. It’s up to you now.or, Jessica watches Lockwood through the years

“It’s okay,” Izuku reminds himself in a whisper. “Just play the stupid game and then they’ll let you out. They will.”
Determination settling around his shoulders, Izuku lowers his outstretched arm to clutch at the handle of his bag.
“E-Eraserhead,” Izuku forces his voice to be louder than he’d like it to be so that hopefully Kacchan and the others won’t pretend they didn’t hear him. “Eraserhead. Eraserhead.”

Summary
Izuku chases after Kacchan, stays right on his heels as they both sprint through the gate and into the mock city.
“K-Kacchan,” Izuku calls out to his teammate. “W-We need to make a plan or something. It’s All Might so maybe we should just run ‘cause th-there’s no way we can fight him. It’s All Might.”
The hit to the face isn’t a surprise really.
A part of Izuku was even expecting it.
Was waiting to feel that familiar burning crackle against his skin, the long familiar scent of burnt caramel flooding his senses as pain ripples out across his face like spider web fractures in a foundation.
What is a surprise is the way that something in his mind just...
Shatters.
Izuku greys out around the edges.

Summary
Montreal’s ice is sharp, cold, and unforgiving — just like the worlds Katsuki Bakugou and Izuku Midoriya have built for themselves. For Katsuki, hockey is everything: brutal, relentless, and the one thing he’s always been good at. For Izuku, figure skating is his escape and also his greatest test of endurance.
When a shared training facility throws them back into each other’s lives after years apart, the ice begins to crack beneath their feet. Old memories resurface, unspoken truths cut deeper than blades, and in a world where strength is everything, neither of them can afford to lose their balance.- Language:

Summary
"We're really sorry," his father says, in a teary-eyed, wobbly way. "But your friend, Izuku, he's... He's gone, son."
Katsuki can do nothing but blink up at them for moments that feel like an eternity, eyes darting between both his parents in obvious confusion, disbelief, and, more than anything, indignation.
"What the fuck are you two talking about? The damn nerd is standing right beside you!"During a battle, Midoriya gets hit by a villain whose quirk detaches his soul from his body. Stuck in a ghost-like state, the boy enters a race against time in order to save himself from permanently dying. Much to his luck - or lack of it -, the only person who can see and talk to him in this state is no one other than Kacchan.
Alternatively: Deku and Kacchan are soulbound.
