Summary
The flower—the flower, it's . . . it's delicacy and strength. There's an imperceptible fragility to the boldness of the color. It looks loud, out there and brave, it looks like passion and heat, but a cooler, more human kind of heat. It's striped with a paler version of itself that emanates an ethereal kind of refreshing springtime feeling. It is, to put it in a nutshell, fucking beautiful.

Summary
At three in the morning, you wake from a comfortable slumber beside your husband and bolt into the bathroom to throw up, shaky and sweaty and fucking miserable. You shouldn’t even be awake right now and this is already the worst day of all time. You have about a thousand prayers and apologies you need to toss at various nonexistent gods to make this end quickly.
“Oh my god,” Karkat says from the doorway, apparently having woken at the sound of your distress. One look at his face tells you he is somewhere between passing out and screaming. “I’m calling 911.”

Summary
Karkat used to think a lot about destiny, or about fate. Grand purpose, or untimely death. He was always anchored, as if by a rope, to some nebulous point in time, dragging himself forward, hand over hand, to reach it.
Worrying about the future comes naturally to him. Loving the present, though.
That's what Dave is for.
