Shouto almost doesn't move, but something in those eyes forces him to. He takes the offered hand slowly, shaking it like he’s seen his father do to the other heroes.
“Todoroki Shouto,” is all he says back. His voice is small.
Midoriya Izuku shakes his hand too firmly, too bouncily. Their hands bob up and down between them for a few moments too long.
Shouto thinks it’s fitting. Everything about this boy is… too much.

John Watson believes one day he'll just fade.
That he'll drown in the black spaces of his mind, and that one day he will no longer exist. It's always been like this, the dark spots marking out moments in his life he can't remember. Where for just a moment he's someone else. Having a Dissociative identity disorder, he can't even be entirely sure he's really who he says he is.
Then he meets Sherlock Holmes. A brilliant detective who when he looks at you can read your entire life story. John is immediately fascinated and afraid, half-wondering if maybe Sherlock can see the other personalities in him and half terrified of the thought of him finding out. Becoming his flatmate seems at once to be a wonderful and horrible idea. Yet as John's Blackouts become more and more severe and his other personalities begin to truly awaken and show themselves with Sherlock's help, the two soon discover that sometimes even the kindest person can harbour a demon best left untouched inside of them.

“Well, I have seen the bloody Bachelor when I was unemployed and had too much time on my hands and let me tell you, it is filled with the worst sort of people on this planet. The men on that show literally string along a dozen girls (whom they barely know and all of whom claim to be madly in love with them) for weeks on end! It’s absolutely disgusting.”
“Oh and letting some man get murdered on national television is better than stringing along a few women?” Sherlock had countered.
When Sherlock had asked John to go undercover in The Bachelor, John knew that nothing good could come of it. He was right. Sort of.

Summary
When the dragons "came out" to the rest of the world, nobody expected the resulting War that broke out between Humans and Beasts. Both sides afraid and suspicious of each other, Humans drove Dragons into slavery, imprisoning them and turning their children into weapons for the military. Forced into hiding, many Dragons disguised themselves as Human and kept their secrets locked away, awaiting for the day when the royal blood line long since vanished would once again reappear and lay waste to the Humans that oppressed them.
John is a reluctant soldier in the Queen's Army, hoping to pay his medical school degree with three years of service. He's just been told to pick out a Dragon from the Kennels to train and serve beside in the War in Afghanistan. More than a little afraid and yet fascinated by the creatures, he just hopes he doesn't end up barbequed...
Sherlock Holmes can't remember his past, but one thing is for certain: He is never going to become some Human's pet. However John Watson doesn't exactly seem like the typical Human.
