When a confrontation with a powerful magic user goes awry, Damian is cursed, robbing him of his voice. Or, communicate without a fresh bruise appearing, that is.
What begins as an inconvenience quickly spirals into something far worse, as he finds himself struggling with the mounting realization: no one has noticed. As his silence deepens, so do the rifts with his family. He’s not helped by the many more sinister theories the people around him assume because of his new temperament.
One thing is certain: he really, really hates magic.

After a hollow family dinner and a single unbearable request—“Call me Mom”—Damian makes his decision.
Damian Wayne is no more. Gotham is no longer his home.
The only question that remains is: when the Batfamily realizes he’s gone...

He sounded outraged, but all that Tim felt was fear.
Shit.
Bile built up in the back of Tim's throat. He was going to throw up. He was going to throw up.
Damian turned over and puked onto the ground.
OR:
Damian and Tim are kidnapped, brutally tortured, and bonded together. Now, their minds are fused and attached, and they are subjected to vicious training for a purpose neither knows.
Unfortunately, this brings them closer than anyone ever expected. In, perhaps, the worst way possible.
