Summary
Almost two years after rescuing a man at sea, Melanie embarked on a journey to help Henry return to his homeland. Struck by a storm in open waters a week into their voyage, her sailboat is wrecked and herself and Henry wash up on a distant shore. The good news: Henry is home, surrounded by his people. The bad news: To Henry, and everyone else here, Melanie is over fifty feet tall.
Rescued by a small military force known as the Eastern King's Watch (or Eastern Coastal Watch), everyone is forced to deal with the situation at hand. With tensions between the lands of the Vogunti Nobility and the island country of Hostenia nearby, Melanie's presence creates a risky new dynamic politically and militarily. Will she find a way to exist among the people of this place without strife? Will she ever be able to return home?
[Depictions of violence, some strong language, mention of nudity and suggestive themes. Inspired by the works of Jonathan Swift and those inspired by Gulliver's Travels and similar media. In progress, hoping to update weekly. Working Title.]

Summary
Melanie travels to the beach after a storm, as she often does to find driftwood and debris that can be used for crafts to keep herself busy in her lonely life, and sees a ship in distress just off of the shore. Unable to believe what's happening, she is able to rescue a sailor from the nearly-doomed vessel and take him under her care.
The biggest obstacle to doing so is that the man isn't even eight inches tall.

Summary
What's left of a hero when everything is taken from him? What's left of a villain with no identity?
What's left of a man who has no choice but to save the symbol of a system he's fighting against?
Within a city constantly besieged by a super-power fueled war between Good vs Evil, a hero is captured by a powerful villain and their secret organization and forced to play part in a twisting and enigmatic plan; to tear down the systems in place that keep the League of Heroes in an ultimate seat of power to rival the government itself. But... is the system as good as it projects itself to be? Are the villains and their henchmen really as evil as the media says? Is it truly as simple as tearing it down, or does that simply open up space for a new, worse system to enter?
Is the harm we do when we believe we're helping mitigated merely by our wishes to be better? To create something more? To fix what we believe is broken?
Do we hold blame for creating the evil we think we're fighting against, regardless of our intentions?
This work features descriptions of violence, abuse, neglect, and uses adult language, as well as mentions of nudity and sexual topics.

Summary
A lovely Tumblr user (rainy-rogue) sent me an ask or two regarding the ideas of Melanie being the small one in Melanie and Henry's relationships and interactions, and the one that's always felt like it had the most meat to sink my teeth into is if they had somehow swapped places on the way back to Vogunti after the events of The Rescue. They asked me for a little snippet, and then... well.
This is likely just a one-off, but it was a good stretch of my brain as I get back into the habit of writing more again this year. I hope you enjoy!

Summary
The Orion's Factotum follows the story of a servant named Raina Toro who works in the city endlessly to supply her and her daughter with a decent life. The jobs she works are menial and pay little. Then, Raina hears of a position from a bookman friend of hers named Caster Veil. He speaks of a high turnover position in the prisons beneath the city acting as a Factotum to one of the city's most dangerous prisoners - Steele Veyne. This would be of little issue if her were like them; however, that is not the case. He is an Orion - a giant among men - and his crimes are severe. What will happen to the poor peasant mother who simply seeks a decent life for her and her child when she comes face to face with a giant?

A hero/villain type of thing in which the hero becomes tiny as a result of a fight that's now very quickly going south before villain shows up and takes all the other foes out. Of course when he sees what's happened to the hero though, he has no desire to kill them, but he also doesn't have any desire to return them to their normal size.
