Summary
Morals were for fools and idiots. She had been a fool once, trusting that her lover would remain the same after such power coursed through his veins. The look of pure glee was etched on his face as his beautiful visage looked into the antechamber of the vast, defiled temple. She looked upon him in his sublime and terrifying glory as red infernal light cascaded over his perfectly sculpted body. This was the body that the gods had created to ruin mortalkind. This was the man who could bend her heart to any whim he chose, as long as he gave her an equal seat beside him.
She had been a fool to believe those lies. The deaths weighed on her, only for the reality that they brought about the suffering when he finally showed her who he truly was. Who she had truly lost in the midst of the grand rite.
Astarion died that day, and the Ascendant was born.
One Liner: Astarion's transformation into a vampire lord and Sima's fight to reclaim their lost love thrust them into a perilous dance of power, obsession, and redemption.

Hero of Baldur's Gate.Sima steps back, realizing from the game—the game that exists in her world but not here—the vampire spawn who fought against the Absolute and freed Baldur’s Gate.
His face is just as striking as in the game.
"You’re... Astarion Ancunin, from the heroes who saved the city, aren’t you?"
Astarion grins, enjoying her recognition. Her surprise amuses him.
"The very same. Pleasure to meet you." His grin widens, crimson eyes twinkling.

Summary

Our story begins with Nisha, a Calishite smuggler belonging to a criminal family deep within the heart of Calimport. Setting off to break away from the family business of smuggling, relic hunting, spycraft, and murder for hire by magical means, our sorceress is looking to make a name for herself. Her first stop? The sprawling metropolis of Baldur's Gate and her family contacts within the Guild. Hoping to forge new connections and a network of her own after a failed marriage, our heroine falls into the hands of the mindflayers attacking the city. Through these adventures she meets a vampire spawn with enough sarcasm to melt the faces of even the worst of Calishite merchant princes. Abrasive, sassy, pragmatic and a mind for no nonsense our heroine sets out with a band of companions and tries to keep the vampire at arms length, while staying alive and doing some good in the process. Steamy nights, flirting, and harsh honesty lie for the lovers as danger thrusts them towards hard lessons, and spilt blood in the name of revenge while finding love along the way.

He holds a taut breath as her eyes open wider. Naomi blinks dazedly up at him, lips trembling, face glazed in confusion. Her gaze settles to his and sharpens.
“W-who are you?”
Astarion’s carefully crafted empire is thrown into upheaval when his bride falls victim to a modify memory spell. Without any memory of her lover or her own vampirism, his dark consort is a threat to both herself and her sire.
Astarion must win back her trust and affections, all while hunting down whoever sought to break the most powerful bond in Faerûn.

“This is a dream.” She quietly laughed to herself. Of course this was a dream. Everything that had happened was absolutely ridiculous. Now, her brain presented her with some beautiful man she’d probably seen in a magazine somewhere. She remembers the 7-11 and thinks she must have tripped over the curb and knocked herself out. She’d never had lucid dreams before, but that had to be what this was. Nothing else made sense.
“Hello? Are you listening to me?” The man interrupted her thoughts, “I’ve cornered one of those brain things. Can you help me fight it?”
Erin looked toward where he gestured, then back at him. She shrugged and said, “Why not. None of this is real, and I’ve already ruined my shoes.” She laughed again and started walking toward the bush he’d indicated.
