Hajek cocked his head at her, eyes slitted and jaw set. “You’ll do what you’re damn well told.” he growled and just then she felt Tim’s fingers slide into her belt loops.
“Baby, babe...” He drew her back against him, leaning on the car, and slipped his hands from her belt loops into her front pockets. Her concentration wavered precariously, fracturing in two when he brushed his nose along her temple, lips against her cheek, as he pulled her down to sit on his leg. Eyes on Hajek, skin burning everywhere she could feel Tim.

All she knows is that it’s Friday night and she’s sitting at a table with Tim, a bottle of whiskey between them, and a paper and pen on the table.
“Hard limits?” Tim asks, and Lucy bites her lip as she thinks. She’s tempted to say ‘none’, but she had been blissfully unaware of all the possible sexual acts that could come out in a Dominate and Submissive relationship until Tim had told her to do her research, and then meet him for dinner on Friday to talk about it in a tone that booked no argument and also turned her on so quickly that her vision blurred.
That had been two days ago, and she has barely slept since then, because every bit of research she does causes her brain to short circuit when she considers it in relation to Tim.

Chris walks in while they’re both on their hands and knees searching under the police vehicles, and his confusion is equal to (or slightly greater than) the longing pang that slices through his chest when he sees her.
“What the fuck are you doing.”
He says it as a statement more than a question, and he almost smiles when Tim jerks so fast that he smashes his head against the underside of the car, or the shop, whatever the fuck they call their vehicles.
“Shit. Ouch, fuck,” he curses, and Chris has to bite his lip to hide his amusement as Tim rubs his hand against his hair, trying to soothe the ache where he’d smashed his head.
He waits until both Lucy and Tim are looking at him, and then repeats the question.
“What, did you lose something under there or something?”
“It’s nothing,” Tim replies, his voice grumpy and subdued, at the same time as Lucy blurts out, “We lost our kid!”
