You had stopped by Professor Utonium’s lab late at night, picking him up for the company dinner. A turns of event trapped you in a game of exchanged glances and chemistry that had nothing to do with beakers.
As he worked on a new formula for the the Powerpuff Girls’ interruptions kept things chaotic, but not chaotic enough to drown out the growing tension between you.
One small reaction in the lab proved what you both felt. A chemistry that transcended work.

Hao practically fell into Hanbin’s arms, hiccupping like his entire soul depended on it. Tiny, pathetic wails escaped him, high-pitched and a little theatrical.
“I want a dog!” he sobbed, face buried in Hanbin’s shoulder, leaving damp streaks of tears on his shirt. His little hands clutched at Hanbin like he was holding onto air, shivering slightly, not from cold, but from pure, theatrical despair
Every sniffle and hiccup was timed for maximum effect, and Hanbin could feel it. The tug, the pull, the way his heart threatened to melt completely. Hao tilted his head up, big watery eyes glimmering, lip quivering.
“Please, Hanbin-ah…” he said, voice cracking in the midst of a sob. Hanbin wanted to groan, wanted to scold, and wanted to pull him off. But instead… he hugged him tighter. Because even if it was manipulation, even if it was absurd… it was impossible to resist.
And God he wanted to fold and give in so bad.
