Lucy buries her head in her hands and throws her phone across the porch, as if getting it away from her will lessen her embarrassment somehow.
Oh god, she’s never going to live this down. He’s going to tease her until she dies of old age, because he now has a video of her provocatively dancing with his dog on his back porch in skin tight leggings and a black, silky top that shows entirely too much of her breasts, and she is never going to live this down.

“We were talking about how Tim has the hots for you,” Angela says, and Tim chokes on his own spit as Lucy turns her head in surprise. Her eyes are wide and disbelieving, and after a few seconds of silence she starts laughing.
“Good one,” she says, laying back down, and Tim frowns.
“Angela said she’d do you, too,” he shoots back, intending to get back at his friend for airing the feelings he’s been trying to hide for so long. It takes him several long seconds to realize he’s shot himself in the foot as well, though, and he blushes and stares at the ceiling as Lucy looks between them, mouth open.
She licks her lips, and then smiles slowly.
“You could,” she murmurs, and then she’s sitting up between them, curling her body into the impossibly small space left on the couch. “You both could.”
Angels turns to catch Tim’s eye over Lucy’s head. He stares at her like a deer caught in the headlights for several long seconds.
