Summary
When FBI profiler April Sparks wakes up in a strange room, injured and disoriented, she has no memory of how she got there. The only person with answers is Benjamin Linus, the very man she had interrogated in the Swan Station shortly before.
But instead of a prison cell, April finds herself in a gilded cage, treated with unexpected hospitality but denied the freedom to leave.
Yet the more April learns about Ben, the harder it becomes to see him simply as a monster. He is ruthless, manipulative, but also fiercely devoted to his daughter. The deeper April delves into his psyche, the more the lines between disgust and attraction begin to blur, until she can no longer tell whether she is analyzing him or falling under his influence.
