    Summary

Flying back to Cherry Street, weaving reckless in the dark, it comes down to this: Dick is the only one of his siblings that Jason has any real claim on. Dick is the only one of that whole mess of victims to Batman's cult of self-immolation who belongs to Jason. Even more than that - Dick is the only person in the world who he shares a parent with, who knows what it meant to be the Robin to Batman of nearly ten years ago.

It's just not the same anymore.

So if Dick fucking kicks it, Jason's the only one left. Jason becomes an only child. Jason becomes the last of his kind. Jason becomes the sole keeper of that memory, of a brotherhood shared under a man who no longer exists. There is no way to replace Dick, because the world that they lived in together is gone, and can never give Jason a surrogate.

The Red Hood pulls the thread on a mystery big enough to bridge the distance between two cities, two brothers: The plot they unravel is far deeper and darker than a garden-variety drug trafficking scheme. A story about siblingship, hauntings, and rivers.

    1. Ostium, osti(i): Latin noun, II Declension: Door, opening; (river) mouth; entrance (to the underworld).

    Summary

As an English major, there are two things you know without having to be taught. One, money is tight. Thanks, capitalism. Two, books deserve to be, if not held in pristine condition, at least treated with an ounce of respect. An ounce. That’s all Techno asks.
This boy—brown eyes narrowing as a piece of onion tumbles to the book’s pages, as if it’s the literature’s fault and not his own—won’t even give it that.
    ---
Or, the sbi college au where Techno argues the value of Capital L literature and Wilbur commits book hate crimes.

The first thing that happens when Tommy Innes crashes during his 159th lap around Auto Club Speedway, is his wheel loses traction with the ground, and he goes careening to the right...
    -
Tommy Innes has dreamed of being a race car driver since he was four years old. Now, at eighteen, he's the youngest rookie on the NASCAR tracks, and about to participate in his very first Cup Series. When a bad wreck leaves him with a butchered sense of hearing, though, he and his new team must navigate the challenges that come along with it. Including, but not limited to: new tech; Tommy's own self-doubt; and one utterly irritating, legendary racer, Wilbur Soot.

    Summary

Tommy seems pale and drawn, like a person stepping up to the gallows, as he enters the booth to sing. His hands don’t shake, but it feels disingenuous of Wilbur to look at that as a ray of light in everything. The group of them watch from behind the one way glass as Tommy steps up to the microphone. His eyes fall closed and they don’t open back up.

When he sings, it’s such a wail of pain that Wilbur’s sure by the end that Tommy will drop to his knees and heave.

He doesn’t. Almost by miracle, Tommy’s standing when he's finished, and with a creased, ruined expression and a torn heart, he steps back from the mic and walks out like it was nothing.

    There’s silence, then –

“Holy shit,” Schlatt says, and yeah. That just about sums it all up.

Or, Tommy is a young pop artist going on tour - he holds auditions for his touring band and ends up getting not just a band, but a family. It's just -- he doesn't seem to know that. (based around Olivia Rodrigo's album Sour)

    Summary

“I think I’ll grow wildflowers this spring,” Tommy muses over the phone something quiet and almost sad in his words, “There’s not enough of them in the city.”
Phil pauses, smiling softly at the teen’s decision, “I think that’s a great idea,” He says, “What types are you thinking?”
“Violets are nice,” The teen says, and there’s something so definite in his words that Phil finds himself agreeing. Violets ARE nice.
    ----
Phil Craft is happy living his quiet little life in the country, but one thing leads to another and three children he's met only once are sent to his sleepy little town. Tommy tends to his garden with a vigour a little too intense for a thirteen year old, Wilbur won't speak to anyone but his brother, and Techno seems ready to pick a fight with anything that moves. What happens when he finds himself growing attached to the trio?
