Lets say that the term 'halfling' is an extreme insult to Hobbits.
and during the Journey, Bilbo doesn't realise that the Dwarves don't know what the term actually means and doesn't understand why they are being so vulgar towards him.
Lets also say that Gandalf was riding too far ahead or something and doesn't realise what's going on until dinner one night when he hears one of the dwarves (Bofur/Ori? Plz?) jokingly call Bilbo 'Halfling' and is furious.
Gandalf:"BOFUR! Do NOT use that word in my presence again!"

Okay, yes he is the smallest, yes he does wear the least clothing, yes they did just get caught in a downpour that would make a drooling troll proud, yes Bilbo is completely soaked to the bone, yes they did find shelter in a drafty cavern, and yes he is shivering because of the cold.
But that does not mean he needs all thirteen of the dwarves shoving him on the ground and practically cocooning him with their own bodies!

Summary
Kili went by the nickname of Chase on the BMX bike racing circuit. He never rode anything but a Chase, the world’s elite racing bike, and he was pushing for a spot on the Chase BMX World Cup team. There was a shot at the Olympics in Rio on the board as well. Unfortunately there was also a drunk who didn’t make a turn. Kili never even saw the driver who crushed his spine, his legs and his dreams. Now life means dealing with a very different set of wheels and priorities.
Fili is an artist and photographer from Auckland to research his ancestry. His showing in London did well and he is trading the sun of NZ for the emerald damp of Ireland. He’s left other things; too and for the first time in years he feels he might have a future. He just didn’t expect it to include a gorgeous young Irishman with chocolate eyes, a wild mane of dark hair and a family that could give any prospective suitor second thoughts.
M/M - Fili and Kili are NOT brothers. Slow burn romance. It will get around to that E rating.
My thanks forever and always to the Mighty Pabu for volunteering to illustrate this story. I'm in awe of her talent and know she will make this a much better story that it would have been.

Summary
The battle is over and the company of Thorin Oakenshield, with the help of the armies of the Iron Hills, King Thranduil, and King Bard, have defended Erebor. Thorin, Fíli, and Kíli survived the final battle and now the three lay recovering in the halls of their reclaimed kingdom. Fíli and Kíli are quick to bounce back from their injuries while Thorin has a harder time. His recovery is marred by periods of infection and fever, and all the company can do is hope that the fever breaks and he wakes up. Bilbo while homesick and missing the Shire stays in Erebor, determined to be there for Thorin when he wakes up as there is much needing to be resolved between them, and much that had been left unsaid. When the fever finally breaks and Thorin opens his eyes it's cause for celebration. But when he has no recollection of the past thirty months and doesn't recognize Bilbo's face, they realize something has gone wrong.

Summary
Bilbo never got along with the other hobbits after his parents died, and is one of the rare hobbits to be completely disowned by his jealous kin. When he joins Thorin's Company on their mad quest, he finds himself welcoming the sense of inclusion that accompanies this band of dwarves (some more welcoming than others). What he doesn't expect is the ancient occurrence of Adapting to take effect - in which one cast out from their own race adapts to fit the race that has accepted them! Now, not only must Bilbo face up to orcs and dragons, he must also come to terms with his new family and learn what it means to be a dwarf, and a Durin no less.
