Summary
The year is 2125 AD, thirty years since the discovery of a strange disease that turned humans into insects. During that time, humanity lost two thirds of its population.
The bugs are called Cagasters. The infection spreads quickly, with a full transformation taking place twenty minutes after symptom onset. Unfortunately, these massive bugs are incredibly resilient, immune to most blades and bullets. The only way to stop the threat of the infected is to behead the afflicted person in those first twenty minutes.
Unfortunately for Lena Luthor, she happens to be turning into a Cagaster.

Summary
Truth be told, Kara hasn't figured out how to wrap her head around this reality. The reality in which she and Lena are together, yet there is a third in their relationship. Not just anybody, but Linda — a person born from Kara's own form, Kara's own image. And she is not mad or sad or jealous about anything, simply that it feels correct, somehow. A fitting of various puzzle pieces, locking in place perfectly. Like all it needed was an acknowledgment of an inevitability.

Kara finds herself thinking odd thoughts about her best friend and having impulses she'd thought were long extinct in Kryptonians, so she decides to acclimate the human to interacting with her how she wants her to.
Lena, she learns, does not spook easily as she'd feared, and may well be attempting to train her as well, though either way Kara is pleased to end up with a cute human pet, her friend accepting everything surprisingly quickly, and then... Lena draws her attention to some things Kara hadn't realized about her human sister, and Kara accepts a very fun bet.

This fic ended up talking a lot from Lena's POV and in general showcases Lena being a super-businesswoman (like an office work fic basically). Roughly takes place in season 2. One chapter has rated E content and has been labeled as such, all other chapters are T.
