"Oh, don't tell me you've decided you'll start sleeping in here, now," Lestat bemoans, and he crosses over to the window to double check the curtains are closed tight.
"I'm just reading, Lestat," he says back coolly, flipping the page to make his point. Lestat hasn't even noticed he's holding the book upside down.
"First you're reflecting upon the ethics of eating, and now this?" he flops onto his side of the bed in such a dramatic fashion that Louis supposes if he’d been wearing pearls, he'd be clutching them. "What's next, you'll try to pull your fangs out?"
"And so what if I do?" Louis poses, tips his chin back and shuffles up against the headboard more so his robe loosens a little. "What would you do about it?"
Too caught up in the turmoil of not getting his way in this hypothetical scenario, Lestat huffs all put-upon.
Because he can't take a hint.
Because he's a fucking idiot.
Louis wants him carnally.
