Summary
When you first hear the voice of your soulmate, you just know that they’re the one for you. Sounds perfect. Simple.
As an EMT, Dean Winchester has seen both the ups and downs of what soulmates can do to each other. He rejects the very idea that one person is your person and once you hear their voice you belong to them. To him it feels like a forced relationship that there is only one way out of.
Castiel Novak, profoundly deaf since childhood, doubts he will ever find his soulmate. Even if he did, how would he ever know? Rather than let that diminish his happiness, he creates the website Solemates for others like himself, who have either lost their soulmate or aren't looking for one for whatever reason. It's a place to find support and understanding.
After a friend directs him to Solemates, despite some trepidation, Dean begins to read and comment on posts. That's how he meets blue_eyed_angel. They hit it off, so they chat and get to know each other for a while. After they exchange numbers, Dean realizes he’s falling for the guy. It's inevitable that they start to think about meeting in real life...
When you're a Winchester, you find that things rarely go according to plan.

Castiel first notices it in the middle of the night when the dreams of fire and screams have kept him awake. He’s kneeling before the altar, praying, when the glass in the windows start to shake, the very air vibrating around him. Summary
In which Amara doesn't bring back Mary, she brings back John Winchester.
Dean is uncertain what Amara's meaning is when she brings John back, and struggles with coming to terms with the new family dynamic. Sam tries harder to keep the peace than he used to, and Cas does not get along with John at all- though he tries. Testosterone is at an all-time high as these four men struggle to coexist in the hunting world with very different ideologies.
We explore just how much the brothers have changed in the ten years without their father's guidance, the trauma they still haven't resolved, and the feelings that Dean and Cas hold for one another despite the very real and new barrier that is John.

Of course getting what you wish for is never as simple as it first appears and it isn't long before Dean discovers being with Castiel means getting a hell of a lot more than he bargained for.

Dean had known Cas to go over protective on him before, but this was ridiculous. It was only a bit of food poisoning, or a bug. Living most of his life on the road, surviving on truck stops and greasy diner food, Dean had had plenty in his time. Twenty four hours at the most and he’d be back to his usual self. There was really no need for Cas’ panic.Was weird that he hadn’t healed him though.
“Your healing mojo must be off,” Dean grumbled. “Still feel like crap.”
“You’re not sick.” Cas' eyes never left the road ahead.
“Oh yeah?” Dean cocked a cheeky eyebrow, “The chunks I blew at the side of the road back there would prove otherwise.”
“You’re not sick,” Cas repeated, deathly serious. “...You’re pregnant.”
