Summary
Ragatha and Pomni are sisters, and after the passing of their parents, they lived under the radar for a long time. That was until CPS realized they don't want a Lilo and Stitch situation and send the girls to live with their Uncle Caine, even after Ragatha turned 19. She was still in college, and not exactly in the right headspace to raise a fifteen year old girl.

Aizawa clutched his cup of coffee as if it were the only thing keeping him standing. Which it was. He’d only clocked out just over three hours ago to pass out on the floor of his office for a nap, and he was already clocked back in, after a busy night of dealing with nine new Mer transfers to Yuuei Marine Sanctuary and Rehabilitation Center.
They’d gotten a call for an emergency transfer late yesterday afternoon, after a fellow marine center had apparently been exposed as an illegal experimentation facility that was mistreating their animals - especially their Mers. They’d also done some weird experiments with their animals’ genetics, causing some weird color morphs and combos.

It wasn't supposed to hurt. They weren’t supposed to feel pain… So why did it hurt?
There was something foreign in their code. Their processor lit up with white-hot pain and their vision filled with error messages.
Eclipse went rigid. Something was very very wrong and the last place they wanted to be was near the children.
“Something is wrong,” Eclipse gasped, jerkily making their way to the security desk. The security guard looked up. “A glitch- an error- something is very wrong.”
