In 1987, life in Hurricane, Utah, was as mundane as it got.
It was a homely little town where everything seemed frozen in place.
The same streets, the same businesses, the same people. A perfect place for a quiet family life—raise your kids, watch them grow up, and then see them leave to some city to chase their dreams.
There wasn’t much to do. Which was exactly why places like Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza stood out.
A family restaurant, relatively busy. A perfect hangout for kids and teenagers, thanks to the arcade machines and cheap food. But that wasn’t what made the place special. It was the animatronics on stage—they were the main attraction.
The kids loved them.
Some parents were more unsettled by them than they’d ever admit.
And the teenagers found them just strange enough to keep coming back.Technology you wouldn’t expect to find in a small, irrelevant town like Hurricane.
