Summary

(3/24/26 Synopsis I wrote while high:) Haru is not in a good relationship with her fiance. Her father pretty much told her to get the fuck over it and marry Sugimura, and then he went and died. A palace of nightmares emerges. Akechi and co. each witness Haru doing something horrific. Akechi steps into her life and into the line of fire because guilt and mommy issues. Haru Okumura didn't have a choice to go back. Yet, when faced with the opportunity to save those she cared about, she couldn't pass up on the chance. She refused to let herself be puppeted by this grand game beyond her for any longer, cutting her strings and moving forward to prevent the tragedies that plagued her life.
Her first order of business was to stop her father's killer from gaining the resources needed to rise to power. To complete that, a certain puppet's strings need to be cut as well, leaving one Goro Akechi falling tightly into the hands of those willing to give him an opportunity he was never granted before—a chance for a family.
