(till wakes up as the prince in his favorite romance fantasy novel. his first and foremost goal is to meet the red-eyed dark-haired duke of the north, ivan. after that... well... he'll just have to make ivan fall in love with him. that's not how the novel goes, but that doesn't matter now, does it?)

Very good question. Now Till doesn't have to be the one to embarrass himself by asking.
"No, thankfully it's not an exchange programm." Till straightened out his back, very interested now. "I'm not exactly sure what it is, since other teachers are handling it. All I know is that each of you will get assigned a partner from a different country to talk to for about a month and you will have to document it."
Till sighed. This sounded stupid as hell.

Till is failing English and he has to talk with a stranger from a different country for a month to improve his grade.

or, five times ivan and sua tried to outsmart each other at the expense of till and mizi’s peace of mind, and the one time they get played instead.

Until one morning, everything changed.
Waking up, Till discovered vibrant, digital-looking numbers hovering like halos above everyone's heads. Disorienting? Absolutely. But the real shocker was the number crowning Ivan—his infuriatingly perfect frenemy.
It shimmered an impossible 100%. And it was...pink?
What were these numbers? Why was he cursed (or blessed?) with seeing them? And seriously—why was Ivan's at maximum capacity?!

Ivan, meanwhile, was fascinated. Why was the boy he'd quietly watched for years suddenly avoiding his gaze?

Summary
He’s tall, in a pressed dark suit, and except for one crooked tooth visible when his lips part, the guy looks like he should be in a high-end magazine, not standing in a nondescript coffee shop at 7:40 AM.
“What can I get started for you?” Till asks routinely, despite his surprise at being observed so closely.
The other man seems to buffer. “Till?” he asks, sounding oddly breathless. Maybe he’s running late to work.
“Mhmm,” Till hums, trying not to let his impatience show. “What coffee would you like today?” he repeats.
“Do you know my name?” The man asks instead, and Till blinks up at him, unimpressed. He lets out a long-suffering sigh.
“You’re not wearing a name tag, so no,” Till finally replies, tapping his index finger at the nameplate on his own chest. “Look, we’re not supposed to rush customers, but it’s too early for this. Do you want to order something?” He spells out the question extra slowly this time. The black haired man looks down at the ground, almost dejected.
“It’s Ivan,” the man says in a soft voice, barely audible.
OR: Reincarnation AU. Till doesn't know why Ivan is so attached to him. Those nightmares couldn't have any relevance, right?
