Once a sweet and innocent character in the Sonic universe, underwent a dramatic transformation due to a tragic accident. While exploring the Green Hill Zone with her friends, a massive boulder struck her head, causing her to lose her memories of Eggman. This event was more than just physical trauma; it led to a profound shift in her life. The accident triggered an overprotective response from her loved ones, who, fearing for her safety, banned her from any adventures. Her mother, Vanilla, grew increasingly controlling, restricting Cream's freedom to the point where she couldn’t leave the house for more than two hours.
During this period, Cream felt isolated and misunderstood. Her friends Chocola and Cheese, who were always by her side, distanced themselves out of fear for her safety. Vanilla's overprotectiveness seemed suffocating, making Cream feel like a prisoner in her own home.
Eggman saw an opportunity in Cream's distress. He capitalized on her feelings of neglect and offered her an escape from her stifling environment. He promised her the adventure she craved, and, desperate for attention and freedom, Cream accepted his offer without hesitation. Eggman’s plan was to exploit Cream’s vulnerabilities....

“There!” Mona calls, pointing. The Phantom Thieves’ follow his paw--in front of their eyes is a familiar visage, one that echoes in front of their eyes, resonates in their hearts… In front of them is the match that struck and lit the fire of rebellion in their hearts.
Joker, leader of the Phantom Thieves, stands before them.
He jumps from the pillar of ice he’s perched upon, flipping, landing perfectly on his feet, looking no worse for wear. His face softens, and he smiles, stepping closer. But the Phantom Thieves of Heart are on their guard--they take a step back, and their leader laughs, mock-offended by their display of distrust.
“Come on, guys. Has it really been so long that you’ve forgotten me?” He rests one hand on his hip, and uses the other to lift up his mask. Golden eyes shine like priceless jewels, reflecting against the dim light of the underground in the Ninth Circle of Dante’s Inferno.
“That’s not him,” Oracle’s voice says, up from above. Her voice wavers. “That’s not Joker--it’s his shadow!”

Summary
When you think of Mobius, you think of a peaceful Planet where both humans and Mobians live together in peace.
Well that's what Mobius used to be like before the a power entity manages to escapes from being sealed away within the Master Emerald.
The planet had fallen into ruin cause without the Chaos Emeralds no one was stronger enough to take on this entity. Just to keep his friends safe and to at least give Mobius some hope Sonic sacrifice himself to become this entity's bride.
