Summary
For a week, Ranboo had been acting strange. It wasn't anything Phil and Techno hadn't seen before, granted, but it didn't usually go on this long, did it? However, the two figured Ranboo could deal on his own.
Until he passed out in the snow, that is.
Techno and Phil had to bring Ranboo inside, and from there learn of his complete amnesia and the troubling circumstances behind it.
--My first multichapter in a while, and my first published dsmp fic :)) takes place vaguely after Ranboo's CONFRONTATION stream, but time is very vague so it won't really matter (when it eventually gets outdated <33)

“Ranboo?”
Ranboo freezes but slowly turns around again. He meets the gaze of the demon, the leader of the so called Badlands, the armored being in front of him who could kill him without breaking a sweat, and he holds out a hand for Ranboo to take.
“It’s going to rain soon.” BadBoyHalo tells him, voice light. There is no malice in his eyes, only curiosity and concern. “And I’ve heard you don’t like rain. You wanna come inside?”
Ranboo’s head tells him it's a trap but his gut looks Bad in the eyes and knows he’s being genuine. There’s no catch to the offer, it’s simply given to him out of… Pity? The goodness of Bad’s heart? Whatever it is, it makes Ranboo want to collapse on the spot.
When did he get so tired?
(Ranboo feels like he has nowhere to go. The Badlands beg to differ.)

The hybrid drew his knees in close to his chest and curled his tail around his feet with a quiet vrrp.
He kept telling himself that he was fine, he didn't need to know what happened or where he was. Stubbornly continuing to insist to himself that he was happier this way, forever wandering with only a cat by his side to keep him company.
He knew that wasn't true though. No matter what lies he tried to tell himself, no amount of flowers or gentle purring would ever be enough to fill the gaping hole in his heart.
