Summary
They knew they'd been caught stealing, the details of that were fuzzy, but they knew Tommy made it out. Tommy made it out, so he'd come rescue them, if he could.
They also knew what was going to happen to them. Ranboo was an Enderman hybrid, and hybrids, especially hostile mob hybrids, were sent to fighting rings, to help deal with overcrowded prisons. And this prison was definitely overcrowded, there were two others in this cell, but the guards took them out when they threw Ranboo in.
Shocking Ranboo from their dissociative state, the guards opened the cell door with a loud clang. Ranboo shifted painfully to look through the door.
There were more guards, at least ten, and panic seized their chest. What was happening? Then they saw the reason there were ten guards outside their cell. They were getting a cellmate.
A piglin brute. Not just any brute, but Technoblade. The Technoblade. The only hybrid to ever escape a fighting ring, basically the leader of the revolution Tommy wanted to join so much. The man who was best friends with The Angel of Death.

Or, Ranboo and Technoblade are sent to a fighting ring by a corrupt government. Surely they won't get attached to each other.

Summary
Techno spares a long glance at the man, frowning, before standing up and ruffling Tommy's hair. The kid sends him the cutest little glare, paired with the tiniest pout. Techno is almost tempted to ignore the director's call and stay with Tommy, but alas, work is work.
"Go sit with Niki, I'll join you soon." Techno gently nudges his son back towards the table. The kid stays looking at him for a bit, clutching at the older's pant leg, before he slowly releases his grip and dejectedly walks away.

"Ba!" Tommy exclaims, getting his arms free from the blanket and swinging them in front of himself.
"Yeah?" Techno hums, straightening and looking fondly at his son, who only smiles at the older and starts babbling more, making grabby hands at Techno. He lets his son hold onto his pointer for a few moments before he turns to get his apartment keys and opens the door. He steps over the threshold and closes the door behind himself.

Or: new dad Techno starts worrying that he's not doing a good job raising Tommy, which, along with the sleep deprivation of caring for an infant, prompts him to call his old high school teacher Phil for help. This reunion will cause many changes in Techno's life going forward

Technoblade remembered the first time he noticed Dream acting strange in vivid detail.
The piglin had been on the server for but a week, and he and Dream planned a meeting to discuss the destruction of L’manberg without Wilbur’s increasingly disturbing ramblings. But Dream was late.
The second time Technoblade noticed Dream's weird behaviour, he was travelling the Nether, idly cutting down Wither Skeletons and collecting potion ingredients as he went.
The blond was stumbling as he ran through the Nether in the piglin’s direction, not that he seemed to notice this, he just seemed intent on moving as fast as possible. Technoblade turned his stance to face the Omega as he barrelled his way, and was surprised by just how unaware Dream was of his surroundings when the blond ran straight into him.
Personally, Technoblade was of the opinion that twice is already a thousand times too many.

Tommy makes a run for it, backpack over his head and socks drenched from the rising flood.
The lingering fog reveals a small shop of pistachio green panels, white metal chairs outside gathering puddles of rain. Tommy heads straight for the glass door, exhaling heavily when the chimes echoed and he was finally under dry roof.
His soaked hoodie drips onto the floor mat as the man wearing a brown apron behind the counter blinks at him tirelessly.
“Hi, Techno!” Tommy waves innocently when he might as well be wringing his damp clothes all over the floorboards.
OR
Tommy seeks refuge from the storm at the coffee shop his brother works at. Techno finds this kid quite dumb (and a tad bit endearing).

The first time Techno saw Tommy’s ghost, he didn't scream. He didn't call for his neighbours—not that he has any left alive—nor did he take a crucifix and pray. He will never be a religious man. And he will never refuse a chance to see his little brother again.
The boy was pale and his features were sunken. There were still specks of blood on his temples, just as when he died, though Techno made sure he was clean and spotless.
But Tommy significantly lit-up when he realised his older brother can see him. And Tommy ran straight into his arms with that same grin on his face that would leave Techno empty when he'd reminisce.
Techno smiled back at him, the first time in months that his lips formed anything other than a quivering frown. It immediately dropped the moment Tommy fell through him.

It hasn't been easy ever since the youngest of the family was diagnosed with a terminal illness. He felt it in the way the atmosphere toned down as Tommy’s health started to decline. No walls screeching at the vibrations of a shrill voice, no heavy footsteps stomping up the staircase. It's quiet. Techno loves his silence. But this is a different kind of quiet. He hates it.
